J.G. Lohrisch Funeral & Cremation Directors was founded in 1870 by Emil Lohrisch, and is now Queensland’s oldest Family owned and operated funeral home….
Richard’s grandfather, Albert Lohrisch carried on the family business until 1954 when Richard’s father Jack Gladstone Lohrisch began working in the business until his passing in 1974.
Today J.G. Lohrisch is owned and operated by Richard and Victoria (Vicky) Lohrisch, they feel very proud to offer a personalised, sensitive, flexible, compassionate & dignified funeral service.
Operating a fleet of two hearses, transfer vehicles and a mourning car. Families are always guaranteed a professional service at all times. Richard and Vicky take pride in their staff who are dedicated to serving individual family needs, be they, religious, cultural, socio-economic or military.
J.G. Lohrisch funerals directors and staff understand the pain the death of a loved one causes and they therefore aim to make the time as easy and as hassle free for the grieving family.
Our belief is that people should have a choice of the personal and excellent service a family business like ours can provide rather than that of a large multi-national corporation.
J.G. Lohrisch have at their premises in York Street Beenleigh a non-denominational Chapel that has seating for 60 people, or families can select a venue of their choice, be it a church or crematorium chapel to hold their funeral service.
Richard, Vicky and their staff make themselves available for all your needs, by appointment or phone at our office Monday to Friday during business hours, or after hours by phone 7 days a week.
J.G. Lohrisch Funerals Directors serve the Beenleigh, Logan, Brisbane, Redlands, Western Suburbs and Gold Coast areas.
We are proud to offer our beautiful Chapel as a venue for both religious and non-religious funeral services. Our chapel, situated within our grounds offers air-conditioned comfort, with seating for 60 with an overflow area for additional people. We offer a full music system, for the music chosen and audio visual equipment so that the family photos can be displayed in a photo tribute if required.
Our mortuary and other facilities are designed to the highest standard so as to be both respectful and secure.
Our modern facilities including our chapel, mortuary, specialised vehicles and administration office are all located on site at 65 York Street, Beenleigh.
